The Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU), in partnership with the United Nations under the Joint Programme on Human Rights (JPHR), implements a nationwide Labour Rights Education Programme to raise awareness and strengthen workers’ understanding of the newly adopted Somali Labour Code.
These messages are designed to help workers understand how to report labour rights violations, including available complaint mechanisms and reporting channels, enabling workers to claim their key rights under the newly amended Labour Code. They are available in Somali language as well as in English, ensuring broad accessibility for workers across different communities.
